How to update the Locations access permissions in Shopify that are required for some apps from Eniture Technology.
Effective on July 1, 2025, Shopify is making a change to the accessibility of Locations data. The change may require merchants who use any of the following apps from Eniture Technology to update the app's permissions to include Locations:
- Any app whose name includes "LTL Freight Quotes".
- Any app whose name includes "Small Package Quotes".
- The Real Time Shipping Quotes app.
How do I know if I need to update access to "Locations"?
Using the Shopify Admin menu, navigate to Apps and select the app from the list of installed apps. You'll be directed to the app's Settings pages. If you see an alert at the top of the page informing you to update the app, click the Approve button.
If you don't see the alert, then the update was already approved, or the Locations permission was already included in the list of permissions when the app was installed. No further action is required.
Updating the app's permissions
After clicking the Approve button, Shopify will present the list of additional permissions that need to be updated.
Click the Update button to approve the additional access.
