Migrating to WWEX Group's New API

Instructions for how Worldwide Express, Unishippers, and GlobalTranz customers can migrate to the new tech stack.

Worldwide Express, Unishippers, and GlobalTranz are collectively known today as "WWEX Group." It has been diligently working to rationalize and advance its technology offering. The outcome is a new API (Application Programming Interface) that enhances its customers' experience while retaining the individuality of the group's principals.

An orchestrated effort is underway to migrate the existing customer base from the legacy tech stack to the new tech stack. If you are using an app, module, or plugin published by Eniture Technology that supports any of the WWEX Group partners, you will need to make a simple but timely change to the way you connect your e-commerce store to your WWEX Group partner account.

Prerequisite

You must have your API credentials to the new API, which consist of a Client ID and Client Secret. The only way to obtain these is to have a WWEX Group representative provide them to you.

Step 1: Navigate to the Connection Settings page

Regardless of the e-commerce platform (BigCommerce, Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce), all Eniture Technology products have a Connection Settings page that facilitates the API connection to the WWEX Group partner.

Using the plugin navigation menu, click on the Connection Settings link.

Step 2: Update the Connection Settings

Use the dropdown field to specify that you will be connecting to the "New API".

The Connection Settings page will refresh to reveal fields for Client ID and Client Secret. Enter the values provided by your WWEX Group representative. If prompted, enter your username and password. These aren't required, but they are helpful in resolving support cases if you need assistance.

Save the settings, and then click the Test Connection button. (In some cases, you may need to navigate back to this page to test the connection.)

You should receive an alert informing you that the connection was successful.  If so, you have successfully connected the integration to your migrated WWEX Group account. No further action is required.

Troubleshooting

If the test connection operation fails, verify your Client ID and Client Secret. If they match what your WWEX Group representative gave you, contact the representative to reconfirm them.

You can try to switch back to the legacy API using the dropdown on the Connection Settings page. Your previous connection settings will still be present. Perform the Test Connection again. If it is successful, then your account hasn't been migrated yet. A WWEX Group account can not be active on both the legacy and new tech stack.
