How to qualify a Limited Access point by an LTL carrier in Shopify?

There isn't a way, in Shopify, for a visitor to optionally select the destination type other than displaying the full list of options.

There are more than a dozen types of destinations that will qualify as a limited access point by an LTL carrier.

There isn't a way, in Shopify, for a visitor to optionally select the destination type other than displaying the full list of options. So let's say, for the sake of the topic, that there are a dozen possibilities and you also have the setting to offer as an option, lift gate delivery...

This is what your customer would see...

LTL freight
LTL freight to construction site
LTL freight to power plant
LTL freight to steel mill
LTL freight to industrial locations
(...plus a dozen more)
LTL freight with lift gate delivery
LTL freight with lift gate delivery to construction site
LTL freight with lift gate delivery to power plant
LTL freight with lift gate delivery to steel mill
LTL freight with lift gate delivery to industrial locations
(...plus a dozen more)

It gets worse if you have other optional services enabled.

Plus, there is no way to validate the address type as "limited access" so it's at the discretion of the visitor to make the proper selection.

In our experience, if you have more than 3 to 5 options, then you are saturating the visitor and they won't make a proper selection.

Therefore, we simplify it by categorizing all "limited access" points generically as "limited access":

LTL freight
LTL freight with limited access delivery
LTL freight with lift gate delivery
LTL freight with lift gate and limited access delivery

In your shipping policy (which you should have a link to on your website) you can list the types of destinations that someone should consider "limited access delivery" and the consequences for failing to properly choosing an option that includes limited access delivery.
