How to Import Palletization Data from WooCommerce into FreightDesk Online
Palletization defined in WooCommerce flows directly into FreightDesk Online, improving accuracy and saving time during shipment processing. Keeping both required add-ons updated ensures handling unit data remains synchronized across systems.
FreightDesk Online (FDO) now supports importing palletization and handling unit data directly from WooCommerce orders when pallet packing is defined using the WooCommerce FreightQuote plugin.
This enhancement ensures that pallet details created at checkout flow automatically into FreightDesk Online, reducing manual entry and improving quote and shipment accuracy.
How It Works
-
A customer places an order on the WooCommerce store.
-
Pallet packing is applied in WooCommerce using the FreightQuote plugin.
-
The order is imported into FreightDesk Online.
-
Pallet and handling unit data appears in the Handling Units section of the shipment.
This process applies only to new orders created after the required plugins are updated.
Required Plugins
To use this feature, both of the following WooCommerce add-ons must be updated to the latest versions:
-
FreightDesk Online Extensibility Add-on
-
LTL Freight Quotes – Freightquote Edition
If either add-on is outdated, palletization data will not be imported into FreightDesk Online.
How to Update the FreightDesk Online Extensibility Add-on
-
Log in to the FreightDesk Online account.
-
Navigate to Settings → Connections → Connected Marketplaces.
-
Click Show/Edit for the WooCommerce marketplace connection.
-
Select the FreightDesk Online Extensibility Plugin download link.
-
Update the plugin on the WooCommerce store.
-
Alternatively, download the plugin directly using this provided link (download).
-
Important Notes
-
Pallet and handling unit data will only be reflected on new WooCommerce orders created after the add-ons are updated.
-
Existing orders imported prior to the update will not retroactively receive palletization data.
-
This feature applies only when pallet packing is defined in WooCommerce.

This enhancement is ideal for merchants who:
-
Quote LTL freight at checkout.
-
Use palletized shipments.
-
Want consistent pallet definitions between WooCommerce and FreightDesk Online.
-
Want to reduce manual handling unit setup during fulfillment.
