Do I need the Shopify Advanced Plan to use Eniture’s shipping rates at checkout?

How to avoid subscribing to the Shopify Advanced Plan and still use shipping apps from third party developers.

Revision Date: May 27, 2026 - To use Eniture’s Small Package Quotes, LTL Freight Quotes, or another third-party shipping rate app in Shopify, the store must have Shopify’s Third-party carrier-calculated shipping feature enabled.

Shopify includes this feature with the Advanced and Plus plans.

Stores on the Shopify Grow plan can add Third-party carrier-calculated shipping by switching to annual billing or by paying an additional monthly fee. Contact Shopify Support to confirm the available option for the store.

The Shopify Basic plan does not currently support activating Third-party carrier-calculated shipping. If the store is on Basic, Shopify’s current documentation indicates that the store must upgrade to Grow, Advanced, or Plus before this feature can be enabled.

Once Third-party carrier-calculated shipping is enabled, Eniture’s app can be added as a carrier or app calculated rate in the store’s Shopify shipping settings.

NOTE: Shopify Grow stores can add Third-party carrier-calculated shipping for an additional monthly fee, or avoid the monthly add-on fee by switching to annual billing. Older Shopify references and community posts have cited $20/month, but Shopify’s current Help Center does not publish the exact fee. Merchants should contact Shopify Support to confirm the current amount.
