Delivery Estimate Options in Shopify
How to enable delivery estimates within Eniture applications or Shopify.
Eniture applications and Shopify have settings to enable delivery estimates. These options provide additional information to the customer at checkout regarding when they can expect their order.
Eniture Application
Within an Eniture application's Quote Settings, you can choose to enable the estimated number of days, the estimated delivery date, or a range of dates for estimated delivery. For a detailed breakdown of each option, you should refer to your application's User's Guide.

When one of these settings is enabled, the corresponding information will display at checkout alongside the returned shipping method(s).

Shopify
You can also set up delivery estimates within Shopify under the Shipping and Delivery Settings. Shopify allows you to choose an automated delivery date or a manually set delivery date. The automated delivery date will predict the date based on previous shipping performance. The manual delivery date will be dictated according to the fulfillment time you select.
Fulfillment Time and Delivery Dates

When one of these settings is enabled, the corresponding information will display at checkout as subtext under the shipping method(s).

Both Enabled
The app settings and Shopify settings are not mutually exclusive. If both are enabled, the estimates from the Eniture application and Shopify will both display.

This is important to note because while both may cohabitate the page, they are not related. The expected delivery date from the application will not take into consideration the fulfillment time input in the Shopify settings. In this scenario, the lead time from Shopify may not align with the the displayed expected delivery date.

If you want the Eniture application to take into consideration fulfillment offset days, you can do so in the Quote Settings of the application under Cut off time & ship date offset.

Recommendation:
Do not simultaneously enable the delivery estimates in the app and the Shopify settings for delivery delivery estimates. The results can conflict and confuse the person placing an order on your website. The capabilities in the app are more sophisticated, and will lead to more accurate outcomes when properly configured.
